Corporate social responsibility is intrinsic to Dyldam’s culture. The Directors and many of Dyldam’s staff volunteer for community and church projects that resonate on a personal level.
Dyldam’s corporate philanthropy is built around its primary charity – sponsorship of The George Naim Khattar Foundation.
A not for profit organisation that raises funds for life-affirming community projects, the GNK Foundation was created to continue the humanitarian legacy of Dyldam Director George Khattar who was prematurely taken from his community in 2010.
The Foundation has continued George’s passion for feeding the poor with a Reaching Out Programme that feeds the homeless of Parramatta. The Foundation has also raised funds for the Youth and Community Centre of Our Lady of Lebanon, The Children’s Hospital Network, The Autism Foundation and now in 2014 Westmead Medical Research Foundation.
Dyldam has donated a defibrillator unit to Bankstown City FC and was honoured to sponsor the WALK WITH ME 2015 Parramatta event presented by Northcott, a not for profit organisation which supports people with disabilities, their families and carers.
Dyldam is a long time supporter of Ronald McDonald House Westmead (one of Dyldam’s projects provides RMHW families from regional New South Wales with vital accommodation near their children and the hospital. In 2015, Dyldam sponsored a special Race Day for RMWH as part of both the Winter and Spring Racing Carnivals.
2016 marks Dyldam’s first arts sponsorship with the co-sponsorship of the popular Concerts in The Domain series as part of the Sydney Festival’s 40th birthday festival programme. These include the free Symphony in The Domain concert in January. Music, like Sport, connects people and builds communities.
Dyldam looks to effect social change by creating modern, engaging residential and business spaces to enhance people’s lives. This positive community outcome is compounded and reinforced with their philanthropic initiatives aimed at “paying it forward”.
